Description            : Single Player Level for Quake I

Single Player          : Yes.

Cooperative            : No.

Deathmatch             : No.
             
Difficulty Settings    : Yes (easy / medium / hard / nightmare)

Prefered Engine	       : FitzQuake 0.8 will be the prefered engine for this map... but unfortunately, 
                         speedrunners may experiment packet overflow warnings... as well if you play the map 
                         progressing too fast... If you want to avoid packet overflow warning for a speedrunning 
                         session, please use aguirRe's engine.
                         If you don't like coloured lights, just remove cda.lit file from the pack.

Base                   : From scratch.

Editor used            : QuArK6.4.0-alpha3

Additional utils used  : Nemesis' Terrain generator, aguirRe's TxQBSP and RVIS, aguirRe's modified TYRLITE 
                         
Textures               : DKT3, and some from ID (2 or 3 in the worst case).

Known Bugs             : FitzQuake packet overflow warnings sometimes if the progression through the map is too 
                         fast. 
                         Recent DarkPlace engine is not able to load the map, use old release (October 2004
                         release seems to work).
                         Standard Quake is not able to load the map, you have to use a "boosted" engine.

Settings Tips          : To improve map looks like, please set engine farclip to 16384 (cvar may differs between
                         engines). Also you can set aguirRe's WinQuake r_maxedges/r_maxsurfs cvars both to 
                         100000

Build Time             : 9 months (+ 50 days, 18 hours and 38 minutes for fullvis)




                   I N S T R U C T I O N S 

You have to:

1. Unzip this zip file in ../quake/CDA directory.
2. Run Quake. [FitzQuake is my preferred] with -game CDA option
3. Then load the map by typing "map cda".
4. Play the map.
5. Enjoy it or hate it.
6. Exit the game.
7. Launch your mail program.
8. Please give a feedback mail to lambert_jph@yahoo.fr for mapping improvement...

PS: Fog density might be a little bit too low with AguirRe's engine (and equivalent), so type 
'fog 0.08' in the console to adjust fog density and obtain a FitzQuake engine equivalent gloomy effect 
(thicker fog).

This map have been compiled to support transparent water and colored lights.
